Le Grand Pompée
Both producer and merchant, the Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné was founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet. It then passed into the hands of his sons Paul and Henry, before being passed down from generation to generation. In January 2006, the Frey family, winemaker from Champagne and owner of Château La Lagune in Bordeaux, took over the house Paul Jaboulet Aîné.
Of a sustained ruby color, with some slight purple reflections, this 1999 vintage presents a rich and complex nose where ripe red fruits dominate, supported by beautiful shades of sweet spices. The tannins, present but well integrated, make the palate dense and full. It is now ready to drink !
